Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how The Audition Technique Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 88 690 182 542) ("The Audition Technique", "we", "us"), of 1 Lennon St, West Melbourne VIC 3003, Australia, collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you use theauditiontechnique.com, our Circle community, and our courses, memberships and mentorship services.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, email, and details you provide when signing up, purchasing, or contacting us.

  • Account and community data: your profile, posts, comments, messages and activity in the community, and any audition material you submit. (Note: under our Terms & Conditions, content you submit to the community may be used by us, including in marketing.)

  • Payment information: processed by Stripe via Circle, with Airwallex as our business bank. We receive confirmation and limited details; we do not store your full card number.

  • Usage and device data: how you interact with our website and content, collected automatically through cookies and tracking via Google (Analytics/Ads) and the Meta pixel.

  • Video viewing data: our course videos are hosted on Vimeo, which may collect viewing data.

  • Communications: emails and messages you exchange with us.

3. How we collect it

Directly from you (when you sign up, buy, post, or contact us), automatically (via cookies and tracking pixels when you use the site), and from the third-party providers we use to deliver the Services.

4. Why we use your information

  • To provide and administer your courses, membership and sessions.

  • To process payments and manage your account.

  • To operate and moderate the community.

  • To send service messages and, where permitted, marketing (which you can opt out of at any time).

  • To advertise and measure our marketing (including via Google and Meta).

  • To improve our Services and meet our legal obligations.

5. Marketing and your choices

We send marketing emails (through Circle's built-in email tool) only where permitted by law (the Australian Spam Act and, for overseas recipients, their local rules). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages such as payment receipts.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the Services:

  • Circle — community hosting, course delivery, checkout, and email.

  • Stripe — payment processing.

  • Airwallex — business banking / payments.

  • Vimeo — video hosting.

  • Google — analytics and advertising.

  • Meta — advertising (Meta pixel).

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Overseas disclosure

Several providers above store and process data outside Australia (for example in the United States and the EU). By using the Services you acknowledge your information may be handled overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers protect it.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and tracking technologies — including Google Analytics/Ads and the Meta pixel — to operate the site, measure usage, and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you (Section 12). EU/UK residents may have additional rights under the GDPR/UK-GDPR, including erasure, restriction, portability and objection. We respond within the time required by law.

11. Children

There is no minimum age to use the Services. Where a user is under 18, a parent or guardian is responsible for their use and information.

12. Complaints and contact

For any privacy concern, or to access or correct your information, contact support@theauditiontechnique.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. EU/UK residents may complain to their local data protection authority.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
